Megan Hannah

Pain Nurse

Megan is qualified in general, orthopaedic and pain nursing. Her specific areas of interest lie in patient and medical education related to persistent pain, and in neuromodulation as a tool for managing persistent pain.

Megan completed her general nursing training in 1984 and went on to obtain post graduate qualifications in orthopaedic nursing. She worked in this field for a number of years before commencing her career in pain medicine nursing in 1997.

A member of the Australian College of Nursing, Megan completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Nursing in 2000 and a Graduate Diploma of Science in Medicine (Pain) in 2007.

Megan was involved in the formation of the Australian Chapter of the International Neuromodulation Society, now known as Neuromodulation Society of Australia and New Zealand (NSANZ) and is a current Board member. She is also a founding member of the Australasian Neuromodulation Nurses Special Interest Group (ANNSIG).
